I have been in this business field for almost 10 years.  I started at the bottom of the ladder with a title company working in the title plant.  I learned the basics for processing a title order for a purchase or refinance transaction.  After a few years, I moved on to the escrow side of the title business.  In this area I learned more about how to get a file closed for a purchase or refinance transaction.  I dealt directly with the clients, realtors, lenders, surveyors, etc.  I did that for several years before becoming an escrow officer with the title company.  After being with the title side of things for over 7 years, I decided it was time for a change.  I decided I would be a loan processor for a mortgage broker.  Within a few months of doing that, I decided to get my loan officer license.  The knowledge I had obtained from the years of working with the title companies had become very useful.  It helped with the processing of the loan and also helps to guide my potential clients through the process of getting a mortgage loan.  Since you have to work with a title company, along with other vendors it can be very calming for potential client's. 

I have now been a loan officer for 2 years and couldn't love it more.  I treat my customer's with the respect that I would want if I were the client.  I am open and honest with my clients and I welcome all of their questions.  No question is "unnecessary" or "stupid".  I would prefer you ask now rather than later.  When I did my first refinance, I wish I had known then, what I know now.  For the most part, the process is pretty simple as long as you are willing to take the time to work with your loan officer and provide them with what they need for the process.  I know that your time is valuable, just as mine is.  My goal is to leave you with a good feeling about your purchase or refinance, whether it is your first or fifth time doing so.  Regardless, it is a big step and you deserve to get the best service.  I work for my clients when they need me.  I am available after normal business hours and on the weekend (even most holidays).  What time works for one, may not work for another.  I do also have reference letters from previous and current clients that are available upon request.
